Nile cruise Just returned from 10 days in Egypt. 3days in Hurgarda at The old Palace hotel and 7 days Nile cruise on the Grand Mandarin The hotel is top class . We were upgraded to the Grand Mandarin due to a shortage of passengers . The boat was superb and the crew excellent . Our Guide Sam was a real find ,nothing to much trouble and his knowledge of the sites was very good . The numbers of tourists are well down and it is a great pity . The people are very friendly and and we never felt concerned at anytime . Great time to visit , we booked through Classic Egypt , but I think due to numbers being down Orbital travel were the company that dealt with us .In the interest of being honest I will say is very tiring with a few early starts , but so worth it

Khalid was a wonderful guide! I visited the East and West banks of Luxor with Khalid, he was an excellent guide! Very kind and knowledgeable about Egyptian art and history, and he went above and beyond to make every effort to ensure that I had the best experience. Thoughtful journey in Luxor our guide Khaled in Luxor was very helpful as he helped us to get the tickets earlier and we could skip the queue. Nice experience Nice older guy who takes care about his clients and also goes out of his way to make you feel good. Knows when and where the crowds are and at least tries to avoid them. Our travel agency messed up and he made sure that we get something in return for it (free romantic felucca ride). Aside from being knowledgeable, I liked that he stopped on the side of the street to buy a watermelon for dessert. I am a person who loves information and learning about culture and history, for this I would have liked even more information but I know in that limited time this is hard to fulfill. Nile cruise Talaat Abdo was a great guide, very knowledgeable and well organized. He made the tour super easy and we had a great time from the temples to the hot air ballooning.
