    Wonderful tour with Big Mac!

My boyfriend and I arrived in Aswan on Christmas Day. After gathering our luggage we headed out of the airport and found Magdy “Big Mac” waiting for us. He was so friendly right from the start. We received a warm welcome and set off to see Philae temple. Big Mac let us know exactly what we were going to do and what we’d see. When we arrived, he walked through the temple with us, explaining what the meanings of the temple and some of the carvings were. He is very knowledgeable about anything Egyptian. We learned what the temple was used for, what it symbolized and how we came to have that knowledge.
Big Mac gave us plenty of free time to walk around and take photos and then we had some coffee before leaving for the High Dam.
We learned about the dam, how and when it was constructed, and why it was necessary. He explained how it worked too. We then took a nice scenic drive to our cruise boat.
We loved our tour of Aswan and had so much fun with Big Mac. I’d recommend him to anyone visiting Aswan. He knows his Egyptology and he is very friendly and kind.
