The Great Sphinx
You can’t visit the pyramids and miss seeing the Sphinx. The Sphinx had the head of a human and the body of a lion. The reason for building it that way was to scare the enemies, to show them how authoritative and powerful the king is, it was considered a sort of spiritual guardian.

The tourist ticket to enter the Giza complex costs 120 L.E, with a special price of 60 L.E for students.
It’s open from 7 a.m to 5 p.m, no tickets are issued after 4 p.m.
More Pyramids
There are other pyramids and monuments in Giza other than the Giza Necropolis, we might haven’t heard of.
The most famous one of them is the Pyramid of Djoser or Step Pyramid at Sakkara. To the northeast, you can find the Pyramid of Userkaf, the founder of the fifth dynasty.
